Step 1

When you come in for your session, you will first talk with your therapist to discuss what you hope to achieve and agree on which methods your therapist will use so that you know what to expect.

Woman deep in thought

Yasmin will lead you into a deepened, relaxed state. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis so that you will be entirely in control. You may feel like you're sleeping, but you will still be aware of what's happening. This is entirely normal.

Your therapist uses suggestions to help you move towards your own weight goal. This may include picturing yourself in a situation where you imagine your future self and how good it feels to achieve your own weight goals.

Step 2

Step 3

Weight-loss hypnosis may help you shed an extra few pounds when it's part of a weight-loss plan that includes diet, exercise, and counselling

When you're under hypnosis, your attention is highly focused, and you're more responsive to suggestions, including behaviour changes that can help you lose weight.

You will be guided into a deep relaxation where you may also feel a sense of tranquillity and peace wash over you.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN
THE HYPNOTHERAPY SESSION

Hypnosis is a natural state of mind that we enter many times a day.
For example, when we are daydreaming, just before we go to sleep, and
sometimes when we are watching television can be described as a
relaxed focus or trance-like state.

It is a charming and relaxing state where one's awareness is heightened, and contrary to popular belief, you will not lose awareness or control. In this trance-like state, the conscious part of our mind is bypassed, and we have more direct access to the subconscious.

We also know that this is when we are most susceptible to suggestions.
In a therapeutic setting, hypnosis provides a potent tool to access
subconscious patterns of thought and behaviour and resolve issues beyond our conscious connection capabilities.
